Welcome to the Division 7, District 11NR Web Site

 Welcome to Division 7 of the U.S.Coast Guard Auxiliary,
the uniformed civilian and all-volunteer branch of the United States Coast Guard.

 

     Division 7 which is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, provides Coast Guard services throughout the state of Utah and operates in the vicinity of Salt Lake City and along the Wasatch Front.

     Division 7 consists of people who care about boating safety, and the welfare of our fellow boaters. We are people who want to enhance our boating knowledge and skill with America’s premiere boating organization. Our primary activities and missions include:

  • Offering Public Education to educate Utah's boating community
  • Performing Vessel Safety Examinations for Utah's Boating Community
  • Participating in Public Safety Fairs
  • Working  in close cooperation with the Utah Department of Natural Resources to provide operational support at various state parks
  • Performing Boating Operations and Safety Patrols on Utah Lakes
  • Search and Rescue
  • Participating in Aquatic Safety Events

 

Members of Division 7 do not perform law enforcement or national defense activities. When needed Division can provide support for active duty Coast Guard units, and to local/state/federal law enforcement agencies when asked.

  • Wasatch (Flotilla 73)
  • Ogden (Flotilla 76)
  • Garden City (Flotilla 78)

At the Flotilla level you can train to:

  • Become A Boat Crew Member
  • Become A Program Visitor
  • Become A Vessel Examiner
  • Assist with Recreational Boating Safety Programs

As a member of the Auxiliary you can learn Seamanship, Weather, Navigation, Radio Communications, Public Affairs, participate in Coast Guard Auxiliary patrols on the water and much, much more.

Membership is open to allU.S. Citizens who are at least 17 years old. There is no specific requirement on the number of hours you must volunteer each year. You contribute when you have the time.
